Planning on making some changes to your live site which could potentially break it? Why not eliminate risk entirely and utilise your free staging environment instead? Alternatively, create an on-demand backup of your live WordPress site using the Create Backup tool.
Mshini creates automatic WordPress site and database backups every morning at approximately 1AM. Two weeks worth of backups are stored on the Mshini server and 4 weeks worth of backups are stored off-site with Amazon S3.
If, for whatever reason, you would like to create an on-demand backup of your WordPress site and database, you’re able to do so using the Create Backup tool in your Mshini customer control panel.
Once logged in to your customer control panel, select the Manage Sites tab on the left to access your Site Tools. Make sure that you have the Live tab selected at the top and click on the Create Backup button to kick off a fresh site backup.
The backups stored on the Mshini server can be made available to you or your customer via secure FTP access to the account. Backups can be found in the backups/ folder and are date and time stamped, e.g. site_yourdomain.co.za_ddmmyyhhmm.tar and db_yourdomain.co.za_ddmmyyhhmm.dump.gz
